Vintage Matryoshka Doll Features an Elaborately Lacquer-Painted Large Mother Doll.
The inside opens to reveal seven smaller dolls inside, representing her Children.
The Main Doll Measures 4 3/4 Inches, and The Smaller Dolls Measure Approximately 1-2 Inches.
From Russian culture, the Matryoshka dolls have been produced since the late 1890s, approximately the end of the 19th century.
This doll set, a modern version, is made of all wood and elaborately lacquered and painted.
Handmade in Russia.
